Place a little water filter grease onto the housing threads. Then when you refit the housing to the system, the housing will screw onto the head cap with ease. Then next year when you go to remove the housing, the housing will remove easily. 2. Remove the o-rings from the water filter housings and wipe a little water filter lubricant over them. This will ensure the o-rings stay in place when you replace them. Also the o-rings will seal better when tightened. It will stop the o-rings from drying out and they will last longer.
