This down is harvested from larger, more mature birds, resulting in the highest grade of more consistent, larger down clusters. The more mature the down, the greater the number of air pockets within the down clusters, increasing their insulating power. As a result, quilts made with this down will be warmer, lighter, have greater loft, and will last longer than quilts made with smaller down clusters.Down produced in Europe and North America is considered to be the highest quality due to long established farming practices, as well as highly regulated harvesting and quality standards.
