There aren't many plants harder to kill than a Zanzibar Gem, making them perfect for indoor plant beginners and brown thumbs alike. Zanzibars have lush, green foliage and while they grow slowly, can reach up to around 60cm high and wide. Sometimes referred to as a ZZ plant, they are native to east Africa and are best suited to similar tropical and subtropical climates. They will handle low-light, low-water, but need protection from direct sun and cold climates.
