The treatment type can be easily identified by locating the end tag on your sleepers. See the 'Guides and Documents' Section for the information for all relevant treatment types. In locations where CCA treatment is utilised, for vegetable garden applications it is recommended as a precautionary measure to use a plastic liner to prevent soil contact with the sleeper. Sleepers treated with Micropro or Tanalith E (also known as TanE) are the preferred option for vegetable garden applications. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is reccomended when handling this product. This includes gloves and if cutting or sanding with potential for dust generation, wearing a Class P1 (Particulate) respirator and eye protection.
