Lipedema is a painful condition that affects the distribution of fat cells in the body, concentrating mainly in the lower half, usually the legs and sometimes spreading up to the torso. Even a gentle touch or squeeze of the leg is often enough to send someone with this condition screaming. Exercise is painful, often making the condition worse. Lipedema is also highly resistant to any form of dieting and exercise, making those with it have to endure a lot of emotional abuse and criticism for not being able to lose weight starting from a young age. This can lead  to many mental health problems including depression and disordered eating. Let this plushie be both a comfort for sufferers, and a reminder to those unaware of the condition that it exists! And someone else's weight is not a stick for you to hurt them under any circumstances, lipedema or no. There's no shortage of unsolicited advice, so spend your time and energy on something more positive. Note: We are aware that not everyone with lipedema has the same distribution, and there are limitations to what we can do on a cute plushie and is a compromise between many different expressions of lipedema while still being an emotional support plush to all!
