Lyocell is a semi-synthetic subtype of rayon derived from regenerated cellulose, making it a biodegradable option. Lyocell also uses a closed-loop system that reuses their chemicals and doesn't use carbon disulfide like other rayons, making it one of the least environmentally damaging options of all semi-synthetics.
