This is a lovely, large, oval tray with scalloped gallery. Hand beaten repousse surrounded by etched vines and plums. Arts and crafts style made by J & F Pool Ltd, Copperhouse, Hayle, Cornwall. Their copperware was to some extent similar to that made in the Newlyn tradition and hand finished. It was usually unmarked. Their production of copperwares dwindled rapidly during and after the 1914-18 war so that they could concentrate on other products. The tray is heavily tarnished on the reverse ( as photographed) but the front cleans up beautifully. Great drinks tray. Wonderful display item.
