The WillowWood Alpha Silicone Liner was thoughfully engineered to meet the demands of today's moderate to high activity prosthetic users. WillowWoods's team evaluated each requirement and made improvements on today's silicone prosthetic liners. Their unique silicone formula infuses Vitamin E and skin conditioners resulting in a comfortable skin surface that is non-greasy and non-tacky.
The Alpha Silicone Liner uses their Select outer fabric that stretches circumferentially allowing easier application onto your limb and better control of pistoning. The flexible knee panel offered on the BK (below-knee) version enhances knee flexion and reduces any tightness over your knee cap.
The above knee (AK) version can be rotated each day due to its symmetrical profile extending the life of your liner. The Alpha Silicone's thin 2.5mm profile allows above knee prosthesis users to reflect their liners over the socket top without issue. Below-knee amputees will enjoy the extra cushion over their front bone while having a thinner profile behind the knee for easier knee flexion. The Alpha Silicone Liner is a solution for amputees currently wearing an Alpha Classic and are seeking an upgrade.

Directions for Use
Prior to applying your Alpha Silicone Liner make sure your residual limb is clean, dry, and free of any soap residue. Cover any open wounds and non-intact skin with a product similar to Spenco. WillowWood states to avoid using any type of animal based lotions or powders on your residual limb or liner. These products may damage your WillowWood Liner.
Invert your WillowWood liner so that the logo is on the inside. Place the end of your liner against the end of your limb. If using a pin lock liner, center the pin attachment on the bottom of your limb. Pay special attention when using the AK version to have the logo positioned along the outside. Carefully roll your liner onto your limb.
***Warning: Do not pull your liner onto your limb. Pulling the liner may stretch the skin and result in an uncomfortable fit and possible skin issues along the edge of your liner. Last, make sure that there are no wrinkles or air pockets between the liner and your limb. Air pockets cause excessive sweating.
Care Instructions
Proper hygiene is critical when wearing any prosthetic liner. Your Alpha Silicone Liner must be thoroughly cleaned each day and disinfected once a week. Clean the gel side of your Silicone liner using lukewarm water and a pH balanced prosthetic cleanser. Apply your prosthetic cleanser with a clean, soft cloth or sponge.
**Warning: Do not scrub your liner on either the fabric or gel sides.
Rinse your Alpha Gel Liner with water and dry it with a clean and lint-free cloth. Place your Silicone Liner on a drying stand with the logo on the outside.
Once a week spray the gel side of your liner with ethyl alcohol spray and wipe clean with a lint-free soft cloth. Last, rinse any alcohol from your liner with water and dry again using the above instructions.
Precautions
Do not place your WillowWood Alpha Silicone Liner on an open wound. If irritation, discomfort or poor circulation occurs, discontinue use and notify your physician or Prosthetist immediately. Do not wear an Alpha Silicone for more than 20 hours daily.
This Alpha Silicone Liner is not indicated for any amputee who has a skin condition which can be aggravated when covered by a non-porous gel material. The Alpha AK Liner should not be used by any prosthesis user whose residual limb is shorter than 3 inches, unless a secondary AK Belt is used.
