The silicone is thick and sturdy and does not create uneven cookies due to compression. Can I use metal cookie cutters on this mat? Absolutely! How do I wash it? You can simply spritz the Counter Cover with an all purpose cleaning spray and wipe with paper towels or a sponge.  Alternatively, for bigger cleanup jobs, the mat can be hosed down in a sink or tub. Will airbrush overspray stain the Counter Cover? Airbrush color overspray should wipe off relatively easily with cleaning spray and paper towels.
