The Heat Shield acts as a physical barrier between hands, chords, etc, from coming into contact with the TKO/SKO or the coil. I also designed it to display the TKO/SKO and its uniquely designed heat post. The many windows also leave only thin framework, which sheds the radiant heat from the TKO/SKO.
