A laminate sandwich of a DWR coating, #10 cotton duck canvas, an X grid for stability and strength, and nonporous film for water proofing creates a material that has more structure, durability, and water resistance than traditional woven cottons while still maintaining a classic look.The X10 fabric used in this collection started as standard colored cotton canvas that was then soaked, bleached, and washed by hand to remove some of the pigment from the original dyeing process and create new colors and textures never seen before. Black becomes Space, Navy becomes Plum, and Olive becomes Rust. The photographed bag is a representation of the color and pattern, but each bag in the collection is entirely unique. A side effect of these processes is wrinkling of the X10 fabric but this does not have an effect on the durability or waterproofness of the material.
