In Act 3 of Swan Lake we meet the beautiful and deceptive Odile, otherwise known as the Black Swan.  She is Rothbart's daughter, and has been disguised to look like Odile in a plot to trick Siegfried into forsaking his promise to Odette.  Whilst occasionally Odette and Odile are danced by different ballerinas, it has become customary for the same dancer to embody both roles.  This dual role is one of the most iconic in the repertoire.  Not only does it contain some of the most technically difficult dancing in the repertoire, but the soloist must show great emotional range to morph from vulnerable and pure Odette to audacious and deceptive Odile.  Our Black Swan floral has been created to embody the commanding and alluring presence of Odette.
