the 2 monkeys is a collaboration between jelado owner yohei goto and former red wing japan representative suzuki michiya with focus on workwear and boots from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. the "sportif“ is their first boot style and is inspired by 1920's-1930's french hunting and outdoor boots combined with details borrowed from american designs of the same time. the boots are made in japan from beautiful tea-core calf leather from france that is comfortable right away. this deep brown leather is overdyed black and will beautifully age when the brown core of the leather will become more and more visible. reminiscent of native american handcrafts, the moccasin toe is made the traditional way, with two pieces of leather for the side and the top of the boot. the stitching is sewn by hand. color: black tea-core style: tm72924 leather: calf leather sole with rubber half-sole quabaug heel goodyear welted handcrafted in japan write us (info@stuf-f.com) if you have questions about fit | sizing | caring.
