For small dogs, we recommend turning the board on its side. <br><br>The sanding surface is an upgraded, professional quality for extreme durability. <br><br>These scratch boards can be made with medium or coarse grit paper, or a combination of both grits. Medium grit is a great, all-purpose texture, but you can use coarse if your dog has large or extra hard nails - just make sure to initially keep your sessions short to keep your dog from accidentally quicking his nails.</p>
<p>A double-sided combination ScratchPad will have medium grit on one side and coarse grit on the other. </p>
<p>With normal use as directed for one to two dogs, your scratching surface should last at least 6-9 months. We are confident our quality is superior and offer a guarantee*.
