We highly encourage wall mounted installation. M.R. Tape dispenser ships with 2 x drywall screws and anchors. Our home/workspaces have M.R. Tape Dispensers all over for easy access to tape. Whether for editing our annual wall calendar [pictured above], hanging something up, or wrapping a present. </p>

As a heads up, it's not heavy enough to keep itself in place while you tear tape. So you need two-hands for tearing. We did prototype a few detachable weighted bases, but ultimately decided this design is primarily for mounting, or two-handed tearing, like in the demonstration above.</p>

M.R. Tape Dispenser works best with paper based tapes; washi or masking tape. Plastic, duct or gaffers tapes aren't recommended, but you're welcome to experiment. The adhesive with scotch tape isn't strong enough to hold well in tension on a desk, but works wall-mounted.</p>
