IFF describe it as: “A powerful orris type aroma. Very economical. Camphoraceous, earthy, orris.” Arctander describes it as: “Very powerful, diffusive, woody-camphoraceous odor, slightly earthy, yet with some resemblance to Orris root, overall very dry.” and says that it ""Finds extensive use in perfumery, at low concentration, for its power, soap stability and compatibility with Ionones, Lavandin oil, etc.”   Arcadi Boix Camps says that he would be “remiss not to recall ...
