Pack your bags for the next Closer House getaway, where we take over a destination share house for a weekend of lakeside views, mountain air, and a dash of adventure in Hudson Valley, New York.
What’s in store: In the fall, Hudson Valley becomes a picture-perfect backdrop for hiking, apple picking, and exploring local wineries or distilleries. You’ll also have the chance to dive into Historic Hudson’s vibrant scene, with its restaurants, galleries, and boutique shopping.
How to get there: Hop on a train to the Hudson Amtrak station—it’s just 20 minutes from the house. Grab an Uber, or share a ride with a Closer friend.
What to bring: Cozy layers for the crisp fall air and your sense of adventure.
Weather: Expect daytime highs around 52°F and lows near 35°F—ideal for brisk nature walks and cozying up after.
What to expect: A Closer facilitator will be there to help the group choose your own adventure—whether it’s apple picking, trips into town, winery or distillery visits, or nature walks. Dinners will be a group effort, with everyone pitching in to create memorable meals—think cooking together, trying local ingredients, or maybe just bringing your favorite recipe to the table. The schedule is flexible, with plenty of space to make the trip your own, but the vibe will be collaborative and fun.
