For this album we took over London’s famous The Pool studio with the incredible talented CJ Evans. He brought along a hybrid Premier and Tama kit, plus a selection of snares from Tama, Ludwig and Slingerland, plus Sabian hardware complete with Jingles on the Flat Hats - one shots of everything are available in the album. The kit was miced up using The Pool’s amazing mic list, and run through the vintage Neve desk with engineer Billy Halliday at the helm. Taking influence from the likes of Simple Minds, Grace Jones, Peter Gabriel, Spandau Ballet and many more superstars of the 1980s, this album covers a range of shoulder-pad-wearing superstars. Gated reverbs, banging snares, funky grooves and dance-inducing beats are abound, taking you right back to the early days of the pop revolution. MP3 Samples The Multitracks pack contains full length unmixed multitracks of every track, with separate wavs for all the different mics used on the kit. This pack is great if you want full control over the sound over the kit. The Stems and Mixes pack contains stems of typically the kick, kit and room mics, along with both a professionally mixed stereo track.
