These are genuine StyroPyro-grown laser rubies!  Each ruby was grown by Drake Anthony himself using the most powerful portable handheld laser in the world!  The best rubies are individually numbered and come with a signed, numbered card--each is unique!  In addition to the limited run we also have unnumbered Styro rubies which are not signed and come in a variety of shapes and sizes.  The biggest and best have the lowest numbers, with #1 as the crown jewel of the collection. Each ruby purchased supports even wilder and cooler videos! Note these are not 'laser rubies' as in rubies used in lasers, but 'laser rubies' in the sense that they were produced with a laser.  Ruby is the red form of corundum, cousin to sapphire (which is corundum of any other color).  It gets its color from chromium.  Styro grew these polycrystalline rubies by hitting a powdered mixture of alumina and chromia with his new, record-breaking handheld laser gun.  Melting these oxides together produces a red and strongly fluorescent ruby, however it is not a transparent single crystal - due to the quick cooling the ruby solidifies into a polycrystalline mass of tiny crystals rather than as a single large crystal.
