This design is inspired by Lilith, a figure from ancient mythology. In the Sumerian myth, Lilith is a goddess or independent force associated with darkness and feared by men. In the Hebrew myth, she represents equality with man, since she was created in his likeness. Thus, seeing herself as equal to Adam, she rebelled against his demands for submission and abandoned him. In many myths, she ends up being the wife of Lucifer and the mother of demons. On the back we have represented the sculpture of Lucifer by Guillaume Geefs from 1848, which has a hilarious story behind it, the church first commissioned the sculpture to Joseph Geefs but it was rejected for being “too attractive for people” so they commissioned a new one to his brother and he sculpted an even more attractive and sensual Lucifer 😂
