Common name - Giant Flower Beetle "Blue"Scientific name - Mecynorrhina torquata ugandensis "Blue" The listing is for 1x beetle larva, of a BLUE bloodline of a giant species of Flower Beetle from Africa. These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Uganda, Africa. Normal adults of this species are green and orange but this is a bloodline that has been selectively bred over multiple generations to isolate the blue colour which is now stable. The adult beetles feed on a variety of fruits such as banana, apple, pear, peach and watermelon. The larvae feed on decaying wood and leaf litter.
