It's important to keep an eye on your belt tension, especially if you have a custom-sized swing arm. Watch this video for instructions on how to use this tool.
The ideal belt tension is between 30-50kg. Take several measurements as you rotate your wheel to identify the high and low spots. The low spot should be 30kg or more unless you have a low-power setup and do not experience any front tooth skipping. The high spot should be 50kg or less.
When you install a new belt, take it for a quick ride of a few minutes, using medium to low throttle or full throttle as long as the front pulley isn't skipping. Be gentle and gradually work up to full throttle during the 2 test rides. After a few minutes, return home and double-check the tension by re-measuring the high and low spots as described above. The belt tension typically decreases slightly during the first 2 rides but will maintain good tension for a long time afterward if you follow these steps.
If you experience any front tooth belt skipping, ease off and head home to increase the tension. If the tension is already at the 50kg max, follow the troubleshooting steps in the installation guide.
