Our round wooden dowels are pre-sanded, uniform and made from top-quality Baltic birch. They take paint well and are safe wood craft sticks for little crafters too! Perfect display length – Ranging from 12" to 48" in length, they make flag sticks, photo props sticks, or puppet sticks with plenty of room for gripping. (1/8" works for paper/plastic flags. For a heavier flag, use a thicker size.) You can also use these wood sticks for centerpieces, kites, and so many craft projects. Longer & stronger skewer – Woodpeckers 1/8" wooden dowels are stronger than the typical skewer and have no pointed ends. Choose our 18" dowel if you need an extra-long skewer, like for roasting marshmallows for s'mores. (Do not put dry wooden dowels near a fire – soak first).
