After finding that my kids would slip out of their good habits practiced through out the school year AND ask me all day long if they could watch TV or play video games, I created this Summer Routine Checklist. In order for the kids to play or use their screens, the Checklist has to be completed. When your kids use the Summer Routine Checklist, they will maintain/build good habits, and get educational tasks completed on a daily basis. Use this Checklist to make parenting easier for you. Instead of having to constantly remind your kids of what they have to do next, you can just direct them to the Summer Routine Checklist. The Checklist includes fun illustrations so even kids who don't read can use this list.
My favorite way to use these lists is to laminate them and place on a clipboard with a dry-erase marker attached. Each morning, the clipboard is placed on the kitchen table along with breakfast. I just change out the list according to what time of day it is.
If you don't have a laminator, you can put the checklists in a page protector and use with a dry erase marker.
