This beautiful and elegant tea cosy range is handmade by myself in the Royal county of Berkshire, UK out of 100% premium quality cotton material.
There are two version to choose from:
- beautiful poppies in a green field
- beautiful packed poppy flowers.
The inner material is plain black cotton. The wadding filling is a good insulation to keep the drinks warm for as long as possible.
Please measure your tea pot and choose from three sizes. If you are in doubt please contact me to find the correct size for your tea pot.
I HAVE TAKEN THE SIZING GUIDE FROM A STANDARDISED TEA POT/TEA COSY CHART AND IT IS MEANT FOR GUIDANCE. MY EXPERIENCE IS THAT IF YOUR TEA POT IS ON THE LARGE END OF ONE SIZE SCALE, YOU MIGHT BE HAPPIER CHOOSING THE NEXT SIZE UP SO THE COSY HAS ROOM TO SPARE AND FITS MORE LIKE A LOSE COVER RATHER THAN A TIGHT SLEEVE:
1. SMALL: fits all 2 to 3 cups tea pots measuring up to 20cm in width measured from end of spout to end of handle. The finished tea cosy will measure approximately 27cm in width and 20cm in height.
2. MEDIUM: fits all 4 to 5 cups tea pots measuring up to 24cm in width measured from end of spout to end of handle. The finished tea cosy will measure approximately 30cm in width and 22cm in height.
3. LARGE: fits all 6 to 8 cups tea pots measuring up to 27cm in width measured from end of spout to end of handle. The finished tea cosy will measure approximately 33cm in width and 24 cm in height.
The tea cosy comes wrapped in tissue paper and tied together with a pretty bow making it the perfect present. For Christmas I will use a festive red and gold/white. Other times of the season colours may vary.
The tea cosy can be washed in warm water (hand wash recommended), do not tumble dry, line dry. Please do not iron as this might melt the wadding.
Please note that the tea pot or cups are not included.
