This is such an awesome and unique piece. It was from the collection of an old biker who passed recently, and is so cool that I can hardly bear to even put it up for sale!
This metal Zippo type lighter is made from silver tone metal, and engraved with an image of Snoopy lying on his doghouse with a speech bubble that says "fuck it." The engraving is embelished with red, green, and black enamel. The style is very similar to so called "vietnam" lighters. The snoopy motif and caption were very popular. However, it doesn't have any specific engraving related to Vietnam, and as I am not super knowledgable about vintage lighters, I cannot say for certain that this is definitively of that era. I am happy to provide any additional pictures, and answer any questions to the best of my ability.
While I don't think the outer part of the lighter is made by Zippo (it has no logo, and is simply stamped "Japan") the inner part of the lighter has the Zippo logo and is stamped "made in the USA."
The case has some scuffs and dings, as it has clearly been used quite a bit, but it seems that with replacement flint and lighter fluid, it would work perfectly.
The lighter measures 2.25 x 1.5 x .5 inches.
