BRIEF HISTORY OF CAMEROON JUJU HAT
Originally the Juju hat, Bamiléké feather headdress or Tyn hat, is a headdress worn by the royal dancers of the Bamiléké tribes during important ceremonies held by the tribal chief.
These hats symbolize prosperity and we believe it to posses the positive qualities of birds and the beauty as well as fragility of life.
All our Juju hats are handmade in traditional manner which is why no two juju hats are exactly the same..
They are slightly different , which is what makes each juju hat unique
Our juju hats are produced basically in eight (8) sizes, but we can how ever customize the other size.

GENERAL CLEANING AND CARE INSTRUCTION :
To protect your juju, we recommend placing a small amount of cedar or lavender near the back. Additionally you can spray it periodically with a moth spray, available online or at your local hardware store.
HOW DO YOU FLUFF A JUJU HAT
To fluff out your juju hat you can arrange the feathers gently with your hands or use a blow dryer, specially on the ones on the outer side. Blow from the inside to the outside. Of course, use the blow dryer gently (low heat level and 20 cm distance) and WITHOUT wetting the feathers first.
WHAT DO JUJU HAT SYMBOLIZE ?
Juju hats, or Tyn hats, were worn by royal dancers during Bamileke tribal ceremonies. They symbolized prosperity and were created from natural or dyed chicken and wild bird feathers.
WHAT ARE JUJU HATS MADE OF ?
The hats are constructed from raffia which is woven to create the support structure. Afterward, feathers taken from well sourced chicken, guinea bird or other wild avian are dyed and attached to the base
