I named this unique handmade piece of art, “Rainbow Hope”.
This beautiful, all crystal and glass, hand beaded sun catcher is made with a repurposed picture frame and chicken wire. It is 100% hand beaded entirely with glass, crystal beads and some natural stones.
Each sun catcher is 100% unique and handmade by me. I am a stay at home mom/preschool teacher. I have 2 beautiful daughters and I love to make art on the side. Our little house on the hill makes a great backdrop for my creations.
This frame measures 25x16 inches and contains over 850 crystals, glass beads and natural stones in variety of colors, shapes and sizes. This piece of art is meant to be hung wherever the sunlight will catch it the best, inside or out. The crystals will refract light that will dance along the walls.
*****It is advised to keep it out of the direct weather. If you would like some instructions on how to easily seal your frame, please ask! Most people have the supplies laying around. I personally don’t like mine sprayed unless they will be in places they will receive rain. They also smell for awhile after they are sprayed and it smells up my house. I can also seal your frame for an additional $15 upon request (before purchase please).*****
I make each charm and pick out each bead. I love the eclectic look of the different beads and their sizes and shapes. I will include some extra beads and parts in case any repairs need to be done in the future. To clean, gently use a feather duster or even blow with a hair dryer. If you have a frame with special beads, just contact me in the future if you need any replacements.
Each frame is thrifted. I find each frame locally and repurpose it into beautiful art. The frames are as is. I try and clean up scuff marks etc, but I mostly like the character of the frames the way that they are. Some of the back of them may have paper residue leftover, however, the front is where the beauty lies.
This makes the perfect gift for someone who loves to sit outside, or your boho/hippie friend. It is also a very cheerful reminder to your loved one, every time they look at it.
