I purchased this beautiful dress from the original owner, who was kind enough to share pictures of when she wore it in 1955! This beautiful gown would be a perfect wedding or prom dress!
*Dress was too small for my mannequin, so it doesn’t fit as well as it will on a body that’s the right size. Zipper works great, the mannequin was just too big to zip it up!

Tags say: Bullock’s Westwood Collegienne, Cotillion Formals. There is also a paper tag near the hem.
Dress is in very good vintage condition and presents beautifully. There are some mended areas in the lace that don’t show unless you are closely examining it. There may still be some breaks in the lace but if there are they aren’t obvious and can pretty easily be mended if you find any. There is some slight discoloration to the bodice (slightly yellowed from age). At the back hem of the lace there is some very slight discoloration that you may be able to get out with cleaning, but I cannot guarantee it and have not tried to clean it. Once it is on an actual body I don’t think the discolorations will show. The lining is off-white, so that hides some of the discoloration as well. The hem likes to turn up instead of down, you could probably stitch it down if it bothers you.
Measurements are taken with the garment laying flat and doubled as appropriate. Measurements are of the garment itself, so please be sure to leave room for your body and movement as fabric is NOT stretchy!

Overall length from center top of back to hem of lining: 39 3/4”
Skirt length of lining is 33 3/8” from waist to hem (tulle extends a little beyond that)
Bodice length measured at the center from top of back to waist: 6.5”
