An original lino cut print of meadow grasses and wildflowers, hand-printed in a choice of black or terracotta ink on delicate handmade 30gsm Nepalese Lokta paper. The paper is a light, natural, warm off-white colour, with natural fibres running through it and a beautiful translucency.
Each print measures A2 size - approx. 42 x 60cm (approx 16 x 24”) and has hand torn/deckled edges. The actual image size is approx. 34 x 54 cm.
The print could be framed with a mount or would look great floated in a large frame.
Walking through the wildflower floodplain meadows near my village and admiring the huge variety of beautiful flora that grows there is the inspiration behind this print. The image is created using a unique hand carved lino block, developed from my own original drawings, and each one is hand-burnished and hand-pulled by me. They are then titled and signed in pencil.
As each one is carefully printed by hand, there may be minor differences in print - this is all part of the joys of hand printing and makes every item unique to you!
