However you organise your records (assuming it's alphabetically) these dividers will keep you right. You'll get a set of 27. (That's one for each letter of the alphabet, plus a # for your numbers. Amazing!)
Each divider has the letter on both sides so whichever direction you want the letters to be readable from, you can insert them that way round.
There are two sizes available. The smaller ones are 6.5cm tall, and the larger ones are 10cm tall. (The actual letters are the same size on both.) The divider is 8cm wide, with a 2mm ridge running the full height to stop them disappearing between your records, so 4cm is between the records and 4cm sticks out as in the photos.
If you find your records aren't tight enough together to hold them in place, you can attach them to something like card stock or old sleeves. (I guess you could reasonably ask why I don't just make them bigger if there's a risk of that being the case, the answer to which is that making them bigger would make them more expensive, and since I think most people will get on with them just fine - as is shown in the reviews - I'd rather make them a better price and offer a solution if it's needed. The cost of these is significantly lower than equivalent ones made from plywood, for instance, so I feel like that's a reasonable approach. If you'd rather I make them longer or bigger, please just shout and I'll look at that for you.)
They're about 1mm thick, which means they don't take up a load of room on your shelf, but they're strong because they're printed from 4 solid layers.
Speaking of which, these are 3D printed so you will have a bit of surface texture, so I'd advise you open the records up and slip them in, rather than shoving them in between closely packed records.
