FINISH Chiffon
Chiffon is a luxurious airy and sheer fabric, that has a lustrous sheen and a gorgeous drape. Chiffon fabric has a slightly textured surface due to how the yarns are twisted prior to weaving.
Chiffon often reflects light, attracting attention from those around. In addition, the sheerness of this fabric makes it perfect for romantic, layered garments. It’s often used as an overlayer on top of a lining or stacked in multiple layers to make the finished garment opaque enough to wear.. Furthermore, chiffon can be made into home and event décor like curtains, table covers, ribbons and gift or product, drawstring bags. Because of lack of harmful chemicals is ideal for making any garments or accessories that come in contact with the skin.
It is also very lovely for plant dyeing and eco prints projects as it is so called PFD fabric.
PFD (prepared for dyeing) fabrics have been desized and scoured, but have been processed without optical brighteners or softeners which can interfere with dye uptake.
The silk also wasn't bleached and it has a beautiful natural shade.
Long width of 55" will save the material if making dresses or skirts cut in bias.

HOW TO WASH YOUR FABRIC
Gentle hand wash or silk programme machine wash is recommended. The best way is to just dip it in a cold bucket of water with a capful of gentle organic soap, let it sit for 30 mins, and then rinse it out in fresh water. Air dry and steam ironing gives it a perfect finish.
Please allow the shrinkage +/- 5%
