Natural teak highlights organic variations in color and graining. These characteristics may differ between pieces. Natural teak may display small splits, knots, joint lines, or other features, adding character to your piece without affecting its quality or performance. Teak hardwood contains natural oils that repel insects, prevent drying, and resist moisture. Teak is also resistant to fungal decay, rotting, and warping due to temperature or humidity. Over time, natural teak’s warm, golden color eventually fades to a silvery-grey patina. Weathering will begin immediately when left uncovered and in daylight. Sintered stone tops are comprised of natural materials that are heat pressed to ensure a flat, nearly poreless surface that is scratch-, stain-, and heat-resistant.
