Medaka are popular in pond-style tanks and provide a unique top-down view for the hobbyist to enjoy. Like other species of Ricefish, White Medakas are very hardy and adaptable to a wide variety of aquarium parameters and salinity levels, making them a solid beginner aquarium fish. </p> <p data-mce-fragment="1">Ricefish are peaceful and should be kept in aquariums with other peaceful fish and larger peaceful invertebrates. Ricefish are social and should be kept in schools of 6 or more for good health and livelihood. Ricefish do have the potential to jump, so it is recommended that coverage be available if a well-fitting lid is not being used. Like most species of aquarium fauna, the White Medaka Ricefish will appreciate the addition of live aquarium plants to the tank as well.<br></p> <p data-mce-fragment="1">Ricefish are omnivorous and will eat a wide variety of fish food.
