<p>Threadfin Rainbowfish are an amazing addition to any planted aquarium. This rainbow is very distinguishable from other rainbowfish due to their long feather like extensions displayed on the males in the species. Males will display green, red, and blue body coloration in the right lighting, this color can extend into its long fins. As the adults get larger the colors can become even more vibrant. This species does well in schools of 6 or more but can be bred in groups of 3 in some cases.<br></p>
<p>Unlike most rainbowfish it is better to keep these in tanks with lower flow/turbulence. </p>

<p>This species is very community friendly and can even be housed with adult shrimp species if grown up in the same tank. You will still need to watch for aggression if keeping with large adult shrimp. We still recommend you keep shrimp separate from this species to eliminate risks. These rainbowfish will max out around 2.5 inches in size.<br></p>
