Remarks:  The Blue Dolphin Cichlid is a popular and visually striking freshwater fish. It is native to Lake Malawi in Africa where it patrols the edges of the rocky shallows.   It also has a distinctive elongated and streamlined shape, with a prominent forehead and a protruding mouth. Both males and females display a deep blue color when in the right conditions upon maturity. Young fish tend to be a lighter blue or gray.   In terms of behavior, the Blue Dolphin is generally peaceful and can be kept in Lake Malawi community aquariums with other non-aggressive fish species. However, it is important to provide them with ample swimming space and hiding spots to reduce stress and aggression. Additionally, they appreciate a sandy substrate and plenty of rocks and caves to mimic their natural habitat.   Feeding the Blue Dolphin Cichlid is relatively easy, as they are omnivorous. They can be fed a varied diet consisting of high-quality pellets, flakes, and frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp and bloodworms.
