The new Martin Ed Sheeran X Signature Edition is a collaborative effort between the singer/songwriter and the Martin team. A 3/4-sized Modified 0-14-fret acoustic, it has a surprisingly big sound from its diminutive size, and is stage-ready and equipped with Fishman's Isys T electronics. It has a solid Spruce top and Koa HPL back and sides, and features Ed's signature "X" as a Koa inlay, as well as fingerboard position markers and on the headstock.
Here with a slightly shorter 23" scale length and a nice 1 11/16" nut width, it has a Birch laminate neck with Martin's comfortable Modified Low Oval shape, and a Richlite fingerboard, making it an incredibly comfortable player, even with its small shape and size. Not only do you get a nice little hybrid acoustic-electric, but Ed Sheeran is also donating 100% of his royalties from it to the East Anglia's Children's Hospices. A great guitar at a great price, the Martin Ed Sheeran X Signature Edition is perfect for beginners and veterans alike, and would make a fantastic travel guitar.
