What’s Inside:
Kiwami Single Cultivar Matcha - 30g
Our highest grade of matcha, the word Kiwami translates to “ultimate” or “extreme.” Displaying a balanced umami flavor, Kiwami presents tasting notes of florals, honey, and cream, a refreshing fragrance, and a hint of natural sweetness. (It’s also the best matcha we’ve ever tasted.)
Traditional Bamboo Whisk
An authentic, traditional tool to prepare matcha, bamboo whisks have been around for thousands of years. They are used during traditional Japanese tea ceremonies. Our whisks are hand-carved and shaped directly out of bamboo. Because of this, there is a slight, natural variation in size and shape.
Matcha Sifter
This minimally designed, two-part tea strainer (chakoshi) has a fine mesh body, ideal for sifting clump-free matcha. The separate receiving dish can be used as a vessel to hold sifted matcha and as a stand for the strainer. Made of high-quality stainless steel, this tea strainer was crafted in Tsubame, a city known for its abundance of mineral resources and production of tableware and metal houseware.
Gold Matcha Scoop
Elegant and minimal, this gold measuring scoop is made from high-quality stainless steel to prevent rust and maintain a beautiful luster. This one-teaspoon scoop measures the ideal portion of matcha every time. Our Gold Matcha Scoop is made in Tsubame, a city known for its abundance of mineral resources and production of tableware and metal houseware.
Seigaiha Whisking Bowl
Made in collaboration with Manhattan-based ceramist Julie Hadley, this original, Matchaful-exclusive design features the seigaiha pattern—a traditional Japanese design made of rows of ocean waves that form a fan-shaped pattern. Directly translated, seigaiha means “blue ocean and waves” and symbolizes the desire for peaceful living and tranquility—bringing a moment of peace and presence into your matcha routine.
Every bowl is handmade and hand-pressed, creating slight variations from bowl to bowl so that no two are exactly the same. Find the artist Julie Hadley on Instagram @jshadley27.
White Ceramic Whisk Stand
This white ceramic whisk stand (chasen yasume) is a vital component of your matcha ritual that will prolong the lifespan of your bamboo whisk. We recommend that you store your bamboo whisk on the whisk stand directly after using and cleaning.
