Made from six tons of amber and decorated with pearls and precious stones, the mirrored, gilded and ambered walls reflected candlelight like fire. Rumours of its potential location come and go, but the Amber Room seems to have slipped away forever, leaving behind memories of jewelled excess and empirical vainglory. Thameen’s shimmering composition is a rose at the heart of a spiced, radiant amber, dark and nuanced with cinnamon, honey and aromatic woods.
