They were raised in one of three ways, as members of a lord's household, as mercenaries, or <span class="il">levied</span> from a town or the countryside. Many of the men were armed, had some training, and came from the upper peasantry, the tenant farmers who would have at one time had prior experience of a battle.</span><span style="font-family: arial, sans-serif;"></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, sans-serif;">This hard plastic box set allows you to build up to 30<span> </span><span class="il">levy</span><span> </span>with a wide variety of weapons, including spear, bow, club, sling, ax, sword, and a variety of farm implements as a last resort.
