The Montefalco Sagrantino “25 years” by Arnaldo Caprai at the tasting shows a dark and impenetrable ruby red color. As dense to the eye as it is to the nose, rich in a layered and varied complexity. There are notes of black fruit in jam, rose and cocoa, on a spicy range of pepper, cloves and cinnamon; a balsamic note of pine resin finishes a bouquet that is broad to say the least. In the mouth the class is manifested by the softness of the tannin, which does not affect the persuasive character of the sip but, on the contrary, enhances it. A good freshness denotes a capacity for evolution to be discovered.   Arnaldo Caprai's Sagrantino di Montefalco "25 years" is a wine for the whole meal, it goes well with roasted and grilled lamb, black truffle, game.
