<p><strong>As seen on The Hot Ones - Season 2</strong></p> <p>Tapatío is produced in Vernon, California and share's a similar story to the famous Sriracha sauce. "Tapatío" is the name given to people from Guadalajara, and when Jose-Luis Saavedra moved to California in 1971 he found there was no hot sauce available so made his own.</p> <p>There is only one Tapatio flavour which hasn't changed since it's inception. Still made by the same family that created it nearly 40 years ago, TAPATÍO is a unique and well-balanced blend of red chiles, garlic and spices. The Saavedras family say it will never change.</p> <p>Tapatio scores 3,000 on the scale of scoville units.</p> <p>Ingredients: Water, red peppers, salt, spices, garlic, acetic acid, xanthan gum and sodium benzoate as a preservative.</p>
