Zach kickstarted the after-market space for other glassblowers and creatives when he made the first topper and accessories for the Carta, - and other erigs,- in 2018. This was after having released the first glass dab stations in 2017, - and we’ve been working with him ever since.
He’s been on product development teams for several E-rig companies, including Focus V. He got into High Times Magazine for the first time in 2019 – featured in the article “7 Carb Caps That’ll Make Your Head and Hash Oil Spin”
His focus has always been on making simple, affordable products that enhance the function / performance of any device he’s tinkering with. He says he makes things primarily to improve his own consumption experiences, and that he then shares that with us, his community, – earning him a reputation for being an innovator in the cannabis industry.

This Control Stick variant is called the L.O.C (lift off cap)
What makes this different than other Control Stick Inserts?
Other glassblowers put two notches on their control stick so that the grommet seats in the crevice between them. When you gyrate their cap, it won’t sling out of the grommet for that reason, it’s “locked in place”. The one downside to that form is that it makes it necessary to take the entire grommet off of the crucible to clear your piece mid rip. That can interfere with the fluidity of your dabbing ( fiddling with the grommet to get the cap back into place).
The L.O.C has just the one maria (bump). When you adjust the grommet, as long as your putting some minimal pressure down on the top of the cap when your gyrating it, no matter how hard you get at it, it wont sling out until your ready to lift it off of the crucible.
that’s why it’s called the Lift Off Cap - - the purpose is to be able to clear your piece mid rip. Clearing your piece mid rip noticeably cools the heated vapor as it’s being inhaled, providing a less harsh, and more flavorful dabbing experience
