Use:
Before the first use, apply a generous coat of food-grade mineral oil or beeswax. Spread the oil evenly using a clean cloth or paper towel, ensuring all surfaces, including the edges are covered. Let the board absorb the oil overnight and wipe off any excess the next day.
Care:
After each use, hand-wash the board with warm water and mild dish soap. Do not put cutting board into the dishwasher.
Immediately after washing, stand it upright or lay on its side to ensure air circulation and complete drying.
Reapply food-grade mineral oil or beeswax once a month (depending on usage), especially when the board starts looking dry or dull.
To remove stains, sprinkle coarse salt or baking soda on the board and rub it with a cut lemon. Rinse and dry thoroughly afterward.
Do not soak cutting board in water or leave it in a wet sink. Do not leave any type of liquid standing/resting on the cutting board for long periods of time. Prolonged exposure to moisture can cause warping or cracking.
Keep the board away from direct heat sources and do not place hot pots or pans directly on the wood. Extreme temperatures can damage the board.
Store cutting board in a dry, well ventilated area.
