Our unique custom tops are perfect to upgrade your dining table, bar top, counters, vanities, and more. Each top is built from sustainably sourced lumber boards that are hand selected to meet your specific dimensions. Tree growth is affected by many different variables, which leads to different grain patterns, color variation, and figure in each board. We take care to select boards with similar characteristics but no two boards are the same, and this natural variation gives each custom piece its own unique appearance. As a natural element, wood will gradually show signs of aging as it reacts to its environment, leading to beautiful changes over time. Choose Your Wood Type Select from true, solid Black Walnut, Maple, or White Oak wood. *Each species will have natural color variations. Black Walnut Tables may or may not contain Sapwood, depending on available boards. Choose Your Dimensions Select your Width and Length from each drop down menu. If these aren't the perfect options, use the Additional Width & Length Options drop downs to get the size just right. Choose Finish Level Really make this table yours by taking it through the final finishing steps! Select our DIY/Unfinished option to receive a top built to your specific dimensions, flattened on both sides, and ready for sanding. Select our Fully Finished option to receive a top that’s ready to use! Our Fully Finished tops are built to dimension, flattened on both sides, finish sanded to a 220 grit on the top side, Large voids/cracks on the top side are filled with a sawdust epoxy, and sealed with our Satin Lacquer or Rubio Monocoat Oil Finish. *Finish is selected by the shop based on characteristics of the wood used to craft the table(s). *When Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C is selected as the finish, the bottom/back side of the piece will be sealed with Satin Lacquer and the Top/Sides will have the Rubio applied. Rubio can be applied to both sides upon request and at an additional cost. *Tip on the DIY/Unfinished Thickened edge, the 45 edges & glued up seams will usually have a small gap that needs filled in with epoxy, we generally mix fine sawdust with epoxy to fill in these small gaps during the finishing process. Choose Preferred Edge Get a soft, natural look with our Sculpted Live Edge or a sleek, modern look with a Straight Edge. Sculpted Live Edge Table Tops can have a width variance of 2-4" below your selected width. Choose Sanding Finish Our Grinder Sanded Finish adds a Rustic Texture to the surface of the table while being smooth enough to not risk catching splinters when using. Our Smooth Sanded Finish is a traditional finish that gets you a 100% smooth top. Additional Customization Available You can edit the table to any size or shape, and request additional services such a drilling cord holes, preparing end to end joints and more. However, minor adjustments in size and/or finishing details may be possible depending on the initial order size and the stage of processing it is currently at. *This thickened edge option will give you the look of 3” thickness. We build our 1 ½” thick table tops a little longer, and a little wider than your final dimensions, and fold over the perimeter of the table top to give you the appearance of a thicker top. This method allows the grain to be mirrored on the ends and sides of the table top for a more consistent look. Final Table Top Thickness will range from 3" - 3 1/2". *Thickened portion of edge may be thinner than the main table top itself. Should not be noticeable on sculpted live edges but may be visible on straight edges. *Pictures show examples of our custom tops and are not the exact top you will receive. Color, Character, Grain Pattern, and Natural Characteristics, including cracks and inclusions will vary between each piece. These characteristics are not considered defects and will not result in a refund or replacement of the product. *Finished pieces may need refinishing over time due to wear and tear from normal use. If the piece is used outside and/or exposed to the elements, such as large temperature/humidity changes, moisture, direct sun, etc., it may need refinishing more often. ** All custom orders are processed promptly, typically on the same or following business day to ensure quick turnaround times. Once processing has been started, orders are not eligible for cancellation or refund. **You can request to see the selected boards prior to the start of the table build. There will be a $75 service fee applied, which covers minor adjustments. Any major adjustments are up to discretion of the shop and may incur additional service fees. **Any requests/changes to the order after it has been placed may result in longer lead times.
