The holster retention is on the light itself and not the pistol, which means this holster will not work without the light mounted on the firearm. This holster is compatible with the Streamlight GL Version of the TLR-7 SUB (part# 69400), TLR-7 X Sub USB (part# 69405) and TLR-7 HL-X Sub (part# 69503) weapon-mounted light with the #1 key.
