Texas Temporary Plate & Registration Service
Our Texas temporary plate service offers a 30-day registration card, issued by a licensed dealership in Dallas County, Texas. To qualify, applicants must complete the required form at usdealerplate.com and meet the following documentation requirements:
A valid driver's license from either the state of Texas or the state of Florida.
Non-residents of Texas or Florida are not eligible for this tag but may qualify for other temporary plates available on our Plates Page.
Insurance or Proof of Ownership:
If you have insurance, upload proof of your active policy If you do not have insurance
upload one of the following as proof of ownership:
Vehicle title (does not need to be in your name)
Contract lease (between you and the financing company or bank)
Bill of sale (between the buyer and seller)
Auction invoice
Dealer invoice
Important: If you provide proof of insurance, you are not required to submit proof of ownership. Proof of ownership is only needed when no insurance is provided.
Once the form is completed and the order placed, an authorization form will be sent to the provided email address. This form requires the e-signature of the driver’s license holder. After the signature is submitted, the order will be processed within 1-2 hours during fulfillment specialist business hours (9:00 AM - 8:00 PM, 7 days a week).
Once the temporary plate is received via email, customers must print and laminate the tag for display. The registration card must be kept in the vehicle at all times while driving.

Our temporary plate service is designed for residents of Texas and Florida who need short-term vehicle identification while awaiting permanent registration. It’s also suitable for transportation companies requiring temporary tags. Unfortunately, we currently do not offer Texas tag to residents of other states, though alternative options are available on our Plates Page
