Absente is distilled using the same artisanal methods and legendary techniques that were used from 1860-1912. At Distillers-Domaines de Provence located in Forcalquier, the capital of flavors and fragrance, Absente is made from very traditional absinthe botanicals, including the legendary wormwood as well as sweet anise, star anise, lemon balm and peppermint, with one of the oldest traditional recipes in the South of France.
