Why Maniago, Italy?
We chose Maniago, Italy, as the home for crafting our blades because it’s known for a centuries-old tradition of knife-making. Nestled in the foothills of the Italian Alps, Maniago has been synonymous with master knife-makers since the 15th century. The region’s blend of artisanal skill and cutting-edge precision are unmatched, making it the perfect place to laser-cut and CNC mill the AD20I Slim full flat grind (FFG) blades.
Each AD20IS is then hand-sharpened and hand-assembled at the Demko Custom Shop in New Castle, PA, under the guidance of Andrew Demko and John Demko. Every knife celebrates the artisanship, integrity, and precision that creates the keystone of Demko manufacturing.
