The altitude and the cool fall winds in the evening from the Black Forest give the wine a noticeable freshness. The exciting, barren, very stony terroir forces the vines to root deeply and thus creates an enormously gripping dialogue with intense Pinot fruit, herbs and saltiness. It is full-bodied and dense on the palate without being opulent. Intense dark cherry and currant fruit with some forest soil, paired with chalky grip and a straightforward, elegant style. Finely spicy, fresh, with a powerful aftertaste.
